The coordinator will serve as the site focal point—or “Control Tower”—for rental and Eastman-owned equipment and tooling. The role requires a strong mechanical foundation and practical familiarity with heavy equipment and industrial tools to help evaluate equipment needs, condition, suitability, utilization, and cost.
Job Responsibilities:
Site Rental and Asset Coordination
Develop a daily process for monitoring execution groups’ planning and scheduling systems to identify equipment needs, assess availability, and make allocation decisions. Recommend when Eastman-owned equipment should be used and when rental assets are needed to meet site requirements. Identify the analysis tools and performance measures needed to manage the program, working with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to develop them.
Document and improve related work processes, and coordinate support across Site Support Services, Operations, Capital, CM&S, and contractor groups. Communicate equipment availability, utilization, rental, and Eastman-owned asset issues to involved parties and management, including progress, concerns, and changes.
Supplier and Rental Management
Serve as the functional point of contact for rental suppliers and internal rental contacts. Establish performance expectations, develop improvement plans and metrics, and create processes that support the prompt release and return of rental equipment. Monitor rental usage and costs, evaluate alternatives, and recommend whether equipment should be purchased or rented.
Work with suppliers to monitor equipment life cycle, condition, reliability, and service records. Review and validate rental invoices, using equipment knowledge and usage information to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Eastman-Owned Equipment and Inventory
Govern the inventory, allocation, and utilization of Eastman-owned equipment and tools. Develop and monitor utilization measures and establish a system for tracking equipment needs and usage to improve availability and overall utilization. Evaluate equipment condition and repair options, recommend repair or replacement, and coordinate the handoff of maintenance responsibilities for Eastman-owned assets.
Improvement Initiatives and Field Observations
Lead assigned improvement initiatives, including supplier facility and technology improvements, better utilization of Eastman-owned assets, and improvements to site tool processes. Identify appropriate management tools and metrics, including automation opportunities; analyze results to find improvement opportunities; propose action plans to management; and implement approved changes.
Conduct field observations, audits, and studies to assess equipment and tool utilization, condition, reliability, work techniques, and user practices. Provide safety feedback, review supplier compliance with service schedules, verify the reasonableness of supplier data, and identify trends for action and periodic management reviews.
Additional Responsibilities:
Use computers and company systems to access procedures and required training, enter and retrieve information, and monitor performance metrics.
Interpersonal Requirements:
- Use sound judgment, take initiative, and demonstrate dependability and adaptability.
- Engage others and address performance or work-process concerns constructively in real time.
- Remain calm during emergencies and work effectively with a diverse team.
- Manage multiple priorities and resolve conflict constructively.

Qualifications:
Required:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Mechanical background demonstrated through relevant education, formal training, or hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment operations, repair, inspection, or equipment management.
- Practical knowledge of heavy equipment and industrial tooling, including the ability to assess equipment condition, suitability, utilization, and maintenance needs.
Preferred:
