Job Description:

 

The Site Security Technician is a critical professional-level role, responsible for site security governance, investigations, access control oversight, compliance auditing, and security system administration. This role operates with independent judgment and accountability, supporting risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and protection of personnel, facilities, and assets while partnering closely with HR, Global Business Conduct (GBC), and site leadership.

 

This position is located in Kingsport, TN.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Serve as a lead operational resource during security incidents, emergencies, and investigations.
  • Provide on-call security coverage and escalation support.
  • Conduct security interviews related to active investigations.
  • Conduct security investigations as directed by the Site Security Manager.
  • Represent Security in HR-led disciplinary reviews.
  • Assist with HR and GBC investigations and disciplinary reviews.
  • Investigate and review security camera footage for safety incidents.
  • Assist HR and GBC with gate record requests.

Access Control, Credentialing & Visitor Management:

 

  • Manage and enforce the Banned List, ensuring accuracy, documentation integrity, and enforcement consistency.
  • Oversee requested access cardholder groups for contractors and Eastman employees in alignment with policy and risk posture.
  • Manage the TNO Visitor Management System, ensuring all training, approvals, and documentation are completed prior to site access.
  • Assist with the management of the TNO car pass system, including issuance, revocation, and compliance tracking.

 

Security Technology & Systems Administration:

 

  • Manage the site License Plate Recognition (LPR) database and enforcement support.
  • Update, maintain, and validate the security camera mapping system.
  • Support and administer security systems including access control, video surveillance, and reporting platforms.

Compliance, Audits & Continuous Improvement:

 

  • Conduct security compliance audits related to gate activity, access control, vehicle systems, and camera functionality.
  • Identify audit findings, trends, and risks, and support corrective action tracking.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver Security Business System (SBS) procedures and training materials.

 

Vendor & Program Support:

 

  • Assist with the development of enhanced security procedures and post orders for Allied Universal to ensure consistent contract security performance.

Qualifications:

 

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience in security operations, investigations, or compliance-driven environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CCTV and access control  security systems.

 

Preferred:

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
