Role Profile

The Senior Sourcing Manager for Indirect MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) Services is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that optimize total cost of ownership, supplier performance, and operational reliability across Eastman’s MRO Service categories. This role leads strategic supplier relationships, negotiates complex service agreements, partners closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Finance, and ensures that MRO service providers meet Eastman’s technical, safety, quality, and performance expectations. Occasional travel to Longview, TX and vendor sites will be required. 

 

The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship driven sourcing leader with strong business acumen, deep category expertise, and the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

•    Develop and lead comprehensive sourcing strategies for MRO service categories such as mechanical services, inspection, rotating equipment, reliability services, and plant maintenance support. 
•    Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) and should cost analyses to drive cost competitiveness and value creation. 
•    Lead complex RFPs, supplier evaluations, bid analysis, and award recommendations.  
•    Implement supplier performance scorecards, conduct business reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 
•    Address performance issues and negotiate corrective actions when necessary. 
•    Lead contract negotiations including commercial terms, performance expectations, service-level agreements, and risk management provisions. 
•    Partner with Legal to ensure alignment with corporate standards and compliance requirements. 
•    Maintain contract lifecycle oversight to ensure timely renewals and competitive agreements.
•    Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Reliability teams to understand service requirements and operational priorities. 
•    Collaborate with Finance on savings validation. 
•    Support plant operations teams in supplier onboarding, safety reviews, and service execution alignment. 
•    Identify and execute cost savings, cost avoidance, process efficiencies, and value added opportunities. 
•    Track and report savings, performance metrics, and category KPIs. 
•    Ensure compliance with sourcing policies, procurement governance, and operational controls.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. 
•    7+ years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in MRO, industrial services, capital or technical categories. 
•    Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex service agreements. 
•    Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and influence senior stakeholders. 
•    Experience with supplier performance management and contract lifecycle management. 
•    Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, cost modeling, and market research. 
•    Familiarity with e procurement systems (Ariba, Coupa, SAP, etc.).
•    Preferred:
o    Experience working in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environments. 
o    Proven success managing multi site or global service providers.
