Responsibilities

Under general supervision, responsible for measuring and analyzing the reliability of the design, materials, processes, cost, and final products of production. Measures reliability necessities of new products and materials. Advises design engineering team on selection of materials. May also recommend changes in the selection and application of production components. Maintains procedures for failures, analysis, and corrective actions. Has knowledge of ideas, practices, and processes for a specific field.

Qualifications

Experienced. Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; performing all duties of assigned role, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills. Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction.  Impact of work is primarily within own division or site.
