Responsibilities
The Program Manager will manage and optimize the capital project portfolio within the Capital Project Execution and Excellence department. This role involves understanding Eastman’s capital processes, leading portfolio development with commercial and manufacturing teams, assisting with Scope, Estimate and Risk (SER) development, participating in capital reviews, proposing projects for funding, and guiding projects through prioritization. Additionally, the Program Manager will improve capital processes, lead new initiatives, and assist in technical reviews of medium and large projects. Strong project management skills, excellent communication, stakeholder collaboration, and adaptability to changing conditions are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the capital portfolio by working with commercial and manufacturing teams to optimize their capital needs
• Manage and optimize the capital forecast and cashflow management to align with business and manufacturing objectives
• Lead the coordination of capital through plant managers and site capital coordinators to develop and maintain a 3-5 year capital portfolio plan
• Drive program, process initiatives, and improved discipline in capital processes, capital planning, and communications
• Assist in the development and management of Technical Reviews program for medium and large projects
• Lead areas to drive capital project justification and risk prioritization scoring processes
• Deliver training to stakeholders on capital processes and procedures
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 years of experience of project/program management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be available during East Coast Business Hours
- Must be able to travel to our Kingsport Headquarters approximately 3-4 times a year

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, finance or equivalent degree.
- Strong knowledge of capital processes and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Experience working in Power BI.
