Role Profile
The Amines Intermediates business, part of the Care Solutions Division, currently has an opening for a product manager (PM). The PM will play a pivotal role in driving the operational results of Amines Intermediates. The PM is responsible for the optimization of business returns associated with the assigned portfolio of products and customers. The PM delivers variable margin through product pricing, contract strategy, focusing on asset efficiency and utilization, in cooperation with various functional partners.
Remote applicants on the U.S. East Coast will be considered; preference is given to candidates able to work on-site at one of our U.S. office locations.
Responsibilities
- Defines, maintains and executes product line strategies
- Responsible for the management of the product portfolio as assigned, which includes both strategic and operational oversight
- Ensures maximum return on assets for product lines. Develops and executes pricing and contract strategy. Continuously monitors business performance and influences business decisions using effective analytics, customer-centric recommendations, and product expertise.
- Leads and collaborates with cross-functional partners to deliver on business targets, including sales, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, Alternative Methods of Supply, regulatory etc
- Owns systems and processes to enable day-to-day business operations
- Leads or participates in gathering competitive intelligence, including analyzing key competitors and their products and assets, capacities, utilization, cost base and strategies. Monitors and communicates changing competitive activities including supply and demand modeling, import/export data, market share.
- Manages product and asset allocations
- Champions/supports continuous improvement and capital projects needed to increase capacity, increase yields, improve variable and fixed costs and/or otherwise improve the capability and profitability of our assets
This role is US based and will require maximum 10% travel time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required in technical, marketing or commercial discipline. An MBA degree is preferred
- 6-10 years prior experience in sales, marketing, product & pricing management, supply chain or manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience in product management and/or pricing is a plus.
The base salary range for this position is $104,000 to $143,000.
