Role Profile

The Product & Pricing Center of Excellence is a key part of Eastman’s updated business operating model which, along with COEs in Marketing and Sales, have a mandate to build and elevate Eastman’s enterprise-wide commercial capability.

Sitting within the Strategy & Commercial Excellence group- the Product and Pricing COE is charged with driving enterprise-wide commercial excellence by standardizing product management and pricing practices, harmonizing key processes and metrics, partnering with businesses on high-value initiatives, and leading technology-enabled improvements with Eastman Digital Services. The COE also builds product and pricing talent through learning and development tools, methods, and competency-based capability building to strengthen performance, consistency, and long-term organizational capability.

Responsibilities

Pricing Processes

  • Collaborate with the Product and Pricing COE LT to influence and support the sustained adoption of standard pricing processes, tools, and methodologies across business units.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource to advise teams on strategic pricing process and execution with enterprise standards.
  • Help identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and reinforce consistent ways of working across the organization.

Analysis & Commercial Effectiveness

  • Lead analysis and reporting of pricing effectiveness, including performance trends, process adoption and business impact.
  • Monitor key initiatives, track progress against milestones, and support follow-through on actions and adjustments.
  • Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities that can strengthen pricing practices and commercial execution.

Additional Responsibilities

Capability Building & Enablement

  • Oversee role-based onboarding and learning programs for product and pricing roles, delivered through a blended learning model of e-learning, virtual workshops, office hours, and facilitator-led courses.  Periodically refreshing training materials as needed.
  • Support enterprise product and pricing capability assessments, as well as candidate interviews for pricing roles

Process Improvement and Change Enablement

  • Collaborate with Product and Pricing COE LT by supporting projects/initiatives focused on improving processes, pricing discipline, pricing governance, and commercial execution.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements, translating business requirements into actionable system enhancements collaborating closely with functional and IT partners
  • Support transformation initiatives by helping define change impacts, communication needs, and drive post-launch adoption of new processes, tools, and behaviors.
  • Network internally and externally to share best practices and research potential solutions to improve product and pricing capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Progressive experience in B2B commercial, pricing, product management, commercial analytics, or revenue management roles, typically 8+ years.
  • Proven experience embedding standardized pricing processes across business units.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders through data-driven insights and practical recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex commercial data into actionable business guidance.
  • Hands-on experience using or supporting pricing platforms such as Pricefx, Vendavo, SAP, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to work independently, collaborate effectively across functions, and contribute to a complex matrixed organization.
