The Network Optimization Transformation Lead-Supply Chain, based in Kingsport, TN, partners with other Eastman organizations to deliver improvements in Supply Chain, Logistics, and our Businesses. We use data analytics, continuous improvement methodologies, and strong internal partnerships to identify, execute and track efficiency, cost savings, and growth initiatives within Eastman. This position is a project management role which requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and ability to collaborate and motivate others to successfully execute projects to meet program targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives within the NetOps portfolio from ideation through implementation and sustainment, ensuring delivery of scope, schedule, and validated benefits.
- Partner with NetOps Core Leadership, Business Unit leaders, Logistics, Sourcing, Finance and Operations to identify network optimization opportunities and prioritize by value/risk/time‑to‑value.
- Manage projects through the NetOps funnel (L0–L5): intake (L0), scoping/feasibility (L1–L2), solution development (L3), pilot/implementation (L4), and full deployment/sustainment (L5).
- Own the project planning and execution cadence: define charters, objectives, deliverables, milestones, resource requirements, risk/issue logs, and go/no‑go decisions.
- Use ServiceNow as the primary project and portfolio management tool: create/maintain project records, submit business cases, track baseline vs. actual savings, and report status to stakeholders.
- Conduct and/or direct quantitative analyses (network modeling, transportation cost modeling, inventory optimization, scenario analysis, ROI, cost‑to‑serve) to support decision making.
- Lead data collection, data validation and analytics workstreams; prepare and present concise, data‑driven decision materials and recommendations.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams and external partners (3PLs, carriers, consultants) to execute pilots and rollouts, track implementation and benefits realization.
- Develop and maintain financial benefit cases; ensure savings are validated and posted to appropriate systems with supporting documentation.
- Facilitate continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) activities — value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and standard work development — to embed sustainable changes.
- Communicate regularly with the NetOps core team, business leadership, and other key stakeholders; prepare executive summaries and slide decks for governance meetings.
- Coach and mentor business stakeholders and project lead’s on NetOps methodologies, analytic approaches, and ServiceNow usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Management Sciences, or related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, or supply chain environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional initiatives and managing stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Strong analytical skills: experience with network modeling, transportation analysis, inventory optimization, cost‑to‑serve, scenario analysis, and financial business cases.
- Proficiency with data tools: Excel (advanced: pivot tables, Power Query, or complex formulas), and at least one analytics/visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Must be a self-starter with a focus on results. Ability to lead and drive challenging projects forward despite uncertainties.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex analyses for key stakeholder audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and lead virtual/cross‑site teams.
