Role Profile:

The Network Optimization Transformation Lead-Supply Chain, based in Kingsport, TN, partners with other Eastman organizations to deliver improvements in Supply Chain, Logistics and our Businesses. We use data analytics, continuous improvement methodologies, and strong internal partnerships to identify, execute and track efficiency, cost savings, and growth initiatives within Eastman. This position is a project management role which requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and ability to collaborate and motivate others to successfully execute projects to meet program targets. This is not a remote role.

Responsibilities:

  • Work to deliver more value, faster execution, and stronger organizational purpose within Eastman’s Supply Chains and Businesses.
  • Work directly with Network Optimization Core Leadership team to identify, plan and execute initiatives in the Network Optimization portfolio.
  • Identify and coordinate activities for the project team to execute and deliver results according to project plans.
  • Maintain regular, frequent communications with the NetOps core team and business leaders to ensure alignment of priorities and to address issues as they arise.
  • Utilize ServiceNow as the primary project management program.
  • Effectively manage initiatives through the project funnel (L0-L5), develop basis for project value and timing, and enter actual project results in ServiceNow with validated savings.
  • Collaborate with other initiative leaders to synergize and identify other opportunities to drive NetOps portfolio results across multiple Businesses.
  • Present project updates to the NetOps Core team, Sourcing Board, or Business teams as needed to garner support for project execution and maintain alignment on targets and results.
  • Transformation Lead should have strong background in data analytics.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: 

Associate's degree with commensurate experience in project management, manufacturing logistics or supply chain or Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, or supply chain from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of experience in a project management, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environment. Job Experience must be relevant to the direct operation or improvement of Supply Chain, Logistics or Businesses design and execution. Project management experience and Continuous Improvement training (Six Sigma, Lean, Etc) are a plus.

 

  • The candidate is expected to demonstrate the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment, solve difficult problems and work well with others.  The candidate will be expected to both lead and serve on team projects.
  • Must be dedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customers; practice active listening, speak clearly and concisely, write clearly and concisely; make decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgement and set objectives and goals independently.
  • Exhibit good leadership attitudes and behaviors.
  • Must be a self-starter with a focus on results.  Ability to lead and drive challenging projects forward despite uncertainties.
  • Excellent written, listening, and verbal communications skills.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles is strongly preferred.
