Role Description

 

A marketing communications project manager is responsible for developing and executing detailed marcom project plans based on strategic integrated marketing communications campaigns associated with growth projects or products. This involves day-to-day management of marketing communications projects including creative and digital campaigns, to generate qualified opportunities that lead to increased brand awareness or revenue growth.

 

Work in partnership with Marcom and internal partner leadership to develop a good understanding of the strategy, target markets and segments to implement effective marketing communications programs.

 

Develop, monitor, and manage projects and campaigns within approved budget. Has responsibility for project execution and works directly with cross-functional corporate teams.

Responsibilities


Project Execution/Implementation
•    Collaborate with corporate stakeholders to understand the goals and objectives
•    Create long- and short-term project plans (based on projects), including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources 
•    If applicable, drive change management, including but not limited to communication planning, surveys, testing, and training on new processes to support the project or event
•    Open/close jobs and manage timelines in Project Management software and job ticketing system, including managing approvals
•    Articulate tasks to be completed by others, and work with those individuals (internal or external) to complete the tasks on time and budget 
•    Coordinate budgets, invoicing, and calendars for corporate projects
•    Prioritize multiple projects and timelines
•    Identify and manage potential liabilities of managing multiple projects
•    Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
•    Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple resources are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy (i.e. digital, creative, account)
•    Regularly communicate with account team to keep the project aligned with business goals
•    Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
•    Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needed; communicate changes with team

 

Brand Governance
•    Ensure proper use of Eastman brand, trademarks and logos

 

Budget Management
•    Manage project budgets to ensure that estimated and/or approved budgets are not exceeded, and that execution is as cost-efficient as possible
•    Review project and budget status with team regularly; adjust actions as needed 

 

Team Participation/Contributions
•    Contribute to corporate Marketing Communications Team Key Initiatives to build/develop Eastman capability

 

Education and/or Experience

 

Location: U.S. Central or Eastern time zone; relocation not required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications degree preferred
Experience: 3-5 years of marketing or communications experience preferred; PROSCI or other change management experience preferred; Agile experience preferred
