Role Description
The MarCom Leader, Plastics & Circular is dedicated to "showing the world what’s possible" through innovative marketing and communication strategies that not only elevate brand presence but also drive meaningful impact on the planet. Their role is pivotal to the company, as they work closely with the executive team to align marketing initiatives with strategic objectives, ensuring that every campaign contributes to a sustainable future and reflects the company’s core values. Responsibilities
- Lead the organization’s advertising and promotions strategy by guiding a team of marketing professionals to develop and execute integrated market activation and promotional campaigns. These initiatives highlight the benefits of our products and services through diverse channels such as social media, trade exhibitions, direct mailing, telemarketing, seminars, store signage, and various media advertising.
- The MarCom Leader defines advertising objectives, recommends media choices, and allocates resources to ensure campaigns are effective, economical, and audience-appropriate in order to develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that unify messaging across segments, fostering a unified brand voice.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and brand management, to create campaigns that support sales goals and integrate seamlessly with other initiatives.
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform strategic communication initiatives that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Facilitate regular communication with segment leaders to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and strategic goals.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies to ensure quality and consistency.
- Lead and develop a team of marketing communications professionals to execute strategies effectively and within budget, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, using data-driven insights to refine and optimize approaches, and drive initiatives that enhance collaboration and integration between segments, promoting a culture of synergy and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in MarCom in a corporate global environment
- Posses an innate understanding of the sustainability and circularity, trends, topics, and emerging technologies
- Strategic, problem solver and people leader
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, remove bottlenecks, and drive cross-functional alignment
- Data-driven, continually using insights to inform and optimize
- Cross-culturally aware and sensitive to working with global teams
- Experience in driving organizational change
- Experience in B2B is preferred, and agency experience is advantage
- Knowledge and proficiency in Office 365 applications (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
