Role

This role is responsible for leading a team of project managers and construction managers overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various projects within the organization. This role involves coordinating with different departments, managing resources, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. This position will focus primarily on large projects (>$20MM TIC) which could possibly be executed anywhere within Eastman’s facilities. The successful candidate will be expected to reside at the Eastman’s Kingsport, TN site.  


Responsibilities


•    Provide leadership, guidance, support, and motivation to Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineering Managers and Project Engineers. 
•    Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.  Able to effectively instill compliance to Eastman Capital Process Handbook, Eastman Controllers Authorized Procedures pertaining to capital projects, and Procurement Policies.
•    Provide guidance, support, and motivation to Construction Project leadership and execution to enable effective project management.
•    Allocation of project resources to effectively execute large capital projects nominally greater than $20M.  
•    Ensure that project objectives are met, and that required operability is achieved.
•    Coordinate with operations, technology, business, and other corporate support organizations.
•    Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
•    Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
•    Conduct regular project reviews and provide updates to senior management.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Construction, Business or similar field preferred). 
•    10+ years of project management leadership and construction experience required (preferably in chemical, petroleum or similar industry).

•    Leadership Roles: Proven track record of leading teams and managing large-scale projects 
•    Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
•    Technical Proficiency: Understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and relevant software tools.
•    Strong leadership and organizational skills.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
