Job Description:

 

The Utilities Division is seeking a Lead Day Services Worker, Power Department B125.

 

The Lead Worker is under the direction of the Team Manager responsible for the Utilities Division / Power Dept. Coal Operations and Day Services teams.  Will work with minimal supervision; lead, coordinate and perform daily job assignments.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Schedule/prioritize daily work assignments
  • Ensure compliance with HVAC filter schedules
  • Work with other Lead Workers to meet team goals. 
  • Track and maintain A/C units filter list and coordinate/document changing of all filters; scheduled and requested.
  • Change AC unit filters in various types of units
  • Clean condensers, evaporators, absorbers, coils and any other heat exchangers requested by DS. 
  • Filtered Water plant tasks; basin and filter cleanings
  • Demin Plant tasks; Resin addition, treatments and resin movements
  • Ensure monthly check and validation of Post Indicator Valves (PIVs)
  • (PIVs) and annual walk downs with Factory Mutual Insurance. 
  • Supports Utilities DS Dept Operations; special projects within Utilities Div as needed or as determined by management.
  • Interface with customers within and outside of Utilities Division

Time in Job Requirement:

 

Minimum of 2-year commitment before eligible to post / apply for another position

Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. 
  • Good communications skills.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, pipe bridges and ladders. 
  • Must be willing to work overtime as requested. 
  • Must be able to work from heights.
  • Must be able to drive and safely operate vehicles (trucks, aerial platform, JLG).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have basic computer skills and willingness to develop.
  • Must be able to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to routinely apply knowledge, team and problem-solving techniques in decision-making.
  • Must possess and demonstrate team skills.
  • Must follow/role model all safety requirements and expectations.
