Short Description
The Employee Engagement Recreation Assistant limited-service employee (LSE) works well within a team environment, is located at the Kingsport site, and is primarily responsible for supporting the Employee Engagement Services staff with all recreation programming, audio/visual services for special events, and other key initiatives.
Limited Service Employees (LSEs) are part-time positions, without benefits, and are eligible to work up to 1300 hours in any 12-month period of time.
A minimum number of working hours per week and a set schedule cannot be guaranteed. LSEs may be asked to work a rotating shift schedule. This is a temporary position.
Responsibilities
- Communicate daily with all roll groups, Eastman Recreation members, and non-members in a professional, customer service-oriented manner
- Assist athletic league coordinators and club representatives by completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Assist with planning and executing annual and special events
- Utilize various audio/visual equipment (projection, sound board, lighting board, spotlights, etc.)
- Collaborate with Employee Engagement Services staff to produce professional lighting and sound support
- Review event riders with external groups to ensure event requirements are met
Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience required
- Digital audio/visual experience required (DLive C3500 experience a plus)
- Strong interest in recreation, athletics, event planning
- Audio/visual capabilities (projection, stage, sound, lighting, etc.)
- Technical trouble-shooting skills (devices, cabling, wireless connectivity, etc.)
- Personal organizational and prioritization skills
- General knowledge of athletic leagues
