Inside Sales Rep Job Summary

The insides sales representative role is exciting, fast paced with many learning opportunities.  As a key member of the sales team, he/she will provide customer and account representative support.  During the day, the qualified candidate will process telephone orders by quoting product prices, delivery specifications, and payment terms and by offering substitute products where appropriate. Also, the ISR will assist outside sales personnel by processing priority transactions.  The position has incentives and will sell, market, promote and, demonstrate products and increases business through product sales to new customers and through additional sales to existing customers.

Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for day to day management and growth of their assigned Accounts. This individual will develop phone-based account and territory management plans, generate sales leads, co-manage opportunities and competitive pricing requests.

Responsibilities:
•    Develop and utilize territory management plan
•    Support Accounts and/or Account Managers in generating new business by creating and delivering qualified opportunities while protecting existing business
•    Make outbound follow-up calls via telephone and email cross-sell and up-sell
•    Service existing accounts consisting of order follow-ups; complaint handling; resolving credit concerns; sample follow ups; and other account related issues
•    Provide Voice of Customer feedback including product quality, performance and service issues and concerns
•    Communicate the entire offering and value, including product/service features and benefits, prices, and credit terms
•    Provide ongoing sales demand forecasts
•    Negotiate business to close including pricing, sales terms and other conditions

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience
•    BS/BA required, business related discipline preferred
•    Previous inside sales or customer service experience preferred
•    Experience with CRM and other sales systems and tools preferred
