You will use your digital manufacturing expertise to design system architectures and solutions at an enterprise level while addressing challenges of an ever-changing marketplace. As a member of the Digital IT Service Team for manufacturing, you will proactively identify and guide the implementation of capabilities to improve global manufacturing processes and services. Leadership, communication, and relational skills are essential to engage across IT and manufacturing. Your impact will range from division level to global significance.

 

What you will be doing:

 

You will leverage your expertise in technology with your business acumen as you partner with global manufacturing to identify gaps, opportunities, and technologies needed to fulfill business needs.

 

As an expert in this area, you will drive the digital service team in finding the right solutions, influence decisions, and guide the implementation of software capabilities and analytics. You will use your knowledge of external capabilities to provide direction on systems/platforms that will drive value to Eastman, and work with internal developers to design and create solutions.

 

You will partner with manufacturing leaders and IT counterparts to ensure new applications complement global & cross-functional processes and standards.

What does it take to be successful?

 

  • Industry 4.0 experience and knowledge of external capabilities that could be leveraged within Eastman
  • Experience implementing technical solutions (i.e., MES platforms, IoT, etc.) to multiple manufacturing areas
  • Design solutions for global manufacturing, in concert with IT architecture and security standards, and partner strategy
  • Effectively research and communicate digital capabilities to business leaders to influence strategy and decision making
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple parallel efforts and recommend best practices
  • Responsibility for overall integrity of solutions while maintaining a strategic view of the architecture

 

The following is required for this role:

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree (Computer Science/Information Systems preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in a related field pertaining to:
  • Introducing new manufacturing technologies with concentration in IoT data collection, mobility, RFID, analytics
  • Expertise of business processes across process manufacturing, manufacturing execution platforms, data historians, PLC/SCADA/DCS, Lab Systems, and IT/OT integration
