Responsibilities

Seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Human Resources (HR) Specialist position.  The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and professional with demonstrated capability working in a high-energy, team-oriented environment to achieve results.   Candidate must show strong attention to detail and possess exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.  Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for working with people at all levels, across multiple Eastman organizations.  Maintaining professionalism and exercising integrity in handling confidential information at all times is a necessity.  At least three to five years of human resources experience is desired.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 
•    Use in-depth human resources knowledge to assist HR Managers and line supervision in interpreting and consistently applying policies, programs, and processes.
•    Gather, consolidate, and draft information for internal and external correspondence, presentations, and reports with precision, accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
•    Perform data analysis and provide recommendations to the HR Manager.
•    Serve on project teams, which may include leading teams, leading meetings, spearheading initiatives, and representing HR on cross-functional teams. 
•    Facilitate HR transactions related to personnel moves, changes in compensation, hires and terminations.
•    Serve as focal point for and collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits and other HR Centers of Excellence.
•    Draft personnel announcements and coordinate communication plans.
•    Develop and maintain HR metrics for organizations supported.
•    Serve as a focal point for HR-related questions from employees and managers.
•    Audit and manage HR-related electronic files for support organizations.
•    Must also demonstrate ability to effectively plan, schedule, and organize by assisting in scheduling and preparing for meetings, including coordinating logistics, assembling background information, and preparing agenda, presentations, reports and meeting minutes.
•    Serve as a backup for other HR Specialists.

Qualifications

•    BS degree in Human Resources or Business is preferred.
•    2 year of Human Resources experience is preferred but not required
•    Capability of maintaining confidentiality.
•    Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
•    Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate, error-free work.
•    Strong SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
•    Proficiency in SAP/R3 and reporting applications.
•    Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
•    Patience and pleasant interaction with others; service oriented.
•    Outstanding ability to take initiative and to assume responsibility for projects.
•    Strong collaboration skills.
•    Ambitious and a willingness to think outside the box to deliver creative solutions.
•    Superb judgment, maturity, and professionalism.
•    Ability to interact with multiple levels of the organization.
•    Strong networking skills
•    Proactive and customer focused
•    Problem solve using logic and reasoning to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of alternatives.
