Responsible for the preparation of complex financial information required for ongoing operations, analysis, review, forecasting and control projects for the Human Resource Organization.  Serves as liaison between HR and Finance, Legal and Tax organizations as well as with multiple third-party administrators.  Responsible for all accounting related issues in the HR organization.

•    Month end benefit closing and employee benefit expense calculation and allocation.
•    Provides monthly and annual HR cost center reviews, analyzes data and identifies anomalies and trends, providing reports as needed. Ensures that corrections are made and information is provided to finance and others as needed.
•    Manages the development of HR budgets and provides related reporting. 
•    Provides benefit cost calculations and reporting for internal use and management reporting on a monthly and as needed basis.
•    Evaluates and documents business procedures related to benefit and other HR related processes.
•    Develops and implements processes to increase the efficiency while establishing and maintaining effective internal controls and ensuring the consistent application of policies related to benefit accounting and other HR related processes.
•    Provides government and other third-party reporting as needed.
•    Provides benefits cost, budget and trend information to Director of Benefits and other company management and personnel.
•    Provides financial analysis and reporting for special projects related to benefits, severance programs, compensation as well as other HR related issues.
•    Assists Payroll team on finance facing issues, recommending and executing solutions as directed.


Principal Accountabilities 
•    Ensures the payment of benefit and other HR related expenses are made timely and accurately.  Calculate those expenses that are internally generated.
•    Ensures payroll and benefit balance sheet accounts are reviewed and reconciled.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience in accounting 
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience; SAP experience is strongly preferred. 
  • Strong Excel and other software skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and solve problems with HR colleagues and others across organizational levels
  • Demonstrated budgeting and project management skills; can effectively lead projects by establishing priorities, building and executing project plans, and delivering on commitments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and use technology to develop solutions and create efficiencies
  • Demonstrated experience with developing, implementing, managing, and monitoring effective internal controls
