Responsibilities

 

Under the direction of the Human Resource Business Partner, the Human Resources Advisor manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The HR Advisor manages the administration of the human resource policies, procedures and programs.  This role will assist and advise company leaders and team members about Human Resource issues. The Human Resources Advisor leads and coordinates Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes safety, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.  


This role will support one or more manufacturing divisions at our Kingsport, Tennessee site.  The individual selected for this role will serve as a key member on the site HR team.  To be successful in this role, the individual in this position will need to excel at consultation and coaching, diagnostic and analytical problem solving, customer service, advocacy, and communications. Strong cooperation and collaboration with all HR and business stakeholders are essential.

 

The Human Resources Advisor is responsible for all or part of these areas:


 
•    Assisting with recruiting and staffing logistics
•    Performance management
•    Organizational development
•    Talent and succession planning processes
•    Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting
•    Employee orientation, development, and training
•    Employee relations
•    Employee communications
•    Benefit inquiries
•    Employee services and counseling

Qualifications

 

•    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
•    3+ years generalist or prior Human Resources experience required; 3+ years of manufacturing-specific HR experience preferred.
•    Experience with employee relations preferred.
•    Strong leadership skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to translate HR knowledge into valuable recommendations and solutions.
•    Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
•    Passion for working in an industrial setting and supporting manufacturing-based client group.
•    Strong business acumen and people acumen, and ability to consult, coach and influence business leaders at a managerial level around complex HR decisions.
•    Excellent cross-group collaboration, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
•    Strong systems-thinking ability. Demonstrable experience in analyzing business issues and providing scalable HR solutions that address & align to broader business requirements.
•    Ability to deal with ambiguity, and achieve results in a fast-paced, heavily matrixed team environment.
•    Ability to manipulate and analyze HR data and drive solutions or recommendations based on data insights.
•    Demonstrated knowledge of HR laws such as EEOC guidelines, FLSA and ADA.
•    Can lead medium to large-scale projects and HR processes.
•    Proficient in HR Systems and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
