We are looking for an addition to our Eastman team with a strong background collaboration and cross-functional process improvement to fill an exciting Contracting Center of Excellence leadership role as Global Process Excellence Lead, Procurement within the Eastman Law Department.

Position Summary:  

Responsibility for day to day management of the global contracting process.  Focus is primarily the procurement contract process stream, with heavy collaboration across contracting streams to build efficiency and stream-line.  Focus includes support of the full implementation and utilization of the Eastman Icertis Contract Life-Cycle (CLM) Management platform.  Includes collaborating with Eastman Procurement and other contract professionals as well as managing & optimizing templates, creation of clause libraries, and workflows. 

The Contracting COE goal is to enable the contracting ecosystem across EMN functions by: 
•    Defining and standardizing foundational contract components (simplification of process, policies, business rules, master data, compliance, etc.)
•    Enabling technology (automation, workflows/dependencies, integration, meta data/clause data, etc.) 
•    Align global stakeholders across all functions and organizations to adopt CLM best practices that will enable innovative digital solutions for operational processes and strategic competitive advantages.
•    Developing sustained processes and metrics (KPIs, contract analysis/monitoring, risk & compliance management, operational performance & targets, training, etc.) 

Job Responsibilities:
•    Participate and support the Contracting COE's ongoing efforts to enable and leverage digital contracting tools, data, reports, and integrations serving as the Procurement subject matter expert to further enable contracting processes.
•    Facilitate communication and coordination of business/function contract needs to support the automation of contract processes.
•    Provide thought leadership, best practice guidance and direction to internal customers to support unique business/ function circumstances and negotiations. 
•    Identify and support training and development needs (function/business) on an ongoing basis as full CLM capabilities are implemented.
•    Providing creative thinking to help develop contracting processes, identify contract improvements, and create cross-functional contract efficiencies and value.
•    Support improved contracting strategies and implementation of CLM best practices across businesses, functions, and regions. 


Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies:
•    Bachelors required in applicable field of study (Computer Science, Legal Studies, BBA) or 8 plus years Eastman specific experience in Procurement or Contracting. 

•    Ability to recognize needs and solve problems, anticipating issues and develop solutions.
•    Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to liaise cross-functionally and provide training.  Responsive, approachable and collaborative working style
•    Prior experience in best practice CLM processes (Icertis) and execution.
•    Highly Knowledgeable of existing Procurement contracting processes.
