Responsibilities
LOCATION: Kingsport, TN (Corporate Headquarters)
The GBC Investigator will report to the Director of Global Business Conduct and receive matter assignments from the GBC Investigations Manager. The GBC Investigator will be responsible for conducting investigations related to a wide variety of topics such as workplace relations, workplace harassment, discrimination, theft, fraud, conflicts of interest, IT policy violations, and health and safety issues. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record for performing a wide range of investigative tasks, from identifying key risks, triaging cases, and appropriately scoping investigative activities, to completing the necessary case documentation and reports with excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will understand how to achieve an optimal balance between accuracy and efficiency when handling investigations and will bring a positive, can-do attitude to the work environment. The GBC Investigator must demonstrate an ability to work with professionalism and courtesy with all levels of internal management, employees, vendors, partners, and external contacts. The successful candidate is someone who is able to work well under pressure, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a proven track record of excellence in a similar work environment.
• Communicate with reporters, both anonymous and known, to facilitate investigative activities and provide information related to status of an investigation.
• Perform thorough interviews of team members and third parties, consistent with industry best practices, to gather facts relevant to the reported concern.
• Assess the probative value of various sources of evidence and use electronically stored information and AI capabilities efficiently to enhance investigative results.
• Protect confidential information obtained through investigative activities.
• Efficiently document investigative activities and results to create a record that can be accessed, reviewed, and understood independent of any direct involvement in the investigation.
• Work with functional partners to understand and address risks identified through investigation.
• Develop recommendations regarding appropriate disciplinary action and recommend appropriate management actions to address any gaps in policy or process that are identified as root causes of the concern that was investigated.

• Ability to interface in a highly professional and friendly manner with senior executives, business leaders, team members, customers, and vendors.
• Ability to work independently with excellent initiation and follow through.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize case load as new cases arise.
• Capable of managing competing tasks, deadlines, and personalities.
• Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and use best judgment for sharing information. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
• Excellent attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Quick learner and agile multi-tasker who demonstrates initiative.

Qualifications:
• A commitment to high ethical standards
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant area of study
• Minimum 10 years of corporate and/or federal government or law enforcement investigation experience
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
• Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
• Is proactive and adapts well to new challenges
• Experience with MS Office suite and a variety of communication applications
