This posting is for a feedstock scientist supporting our molecular recycling platform and will be primarily located in Kingsport, TN with some domestic travel and international travel required. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering/scientific techniques, processes, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. 
  • Investigates a limited number of variables to achieve clear and specific project results within a narrow focus area.
  • Performs work that involves conventional types of plans, surveys, structures, etc., with relatively few complex features for which there are no precedents.
  • Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives, technical assistance on complex features, and possible solutions. Work may be reviewed by seasoned professionals for technical quality.
  • May supervise or coordinate the work of drafters, technicians, or aides who assist in specific assignments. 




Education Requirements:

Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Polymer Chemistry or similar field from an accredited college or university.



  • Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline, performing all duties of assigned role, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • Builds knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.
  • Solves a range of straightforward problems.
  • Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.
  • Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction. 
  • Impact of work is primarily within own division or site.
