Utilities Division has an opening for an Equipment Operator in their Transportation Services Department.

Job Description:

Provides transportation of materials within and outside the plant site by operating tractor trailers, dumpster trucks, and G.R.D. dumpster trucks.  Utilizes the computer dispatch system when relieving dispatchers.  

Qualifications:

• Must have current Class A CDL (Hazard Materials Certification preferred)
• Must be able to obtain an Eastman DOT Medical Examiner Certification. 
• Must be familiar with basic computer functions such as email & data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word
• Must be able to perform all safety procedures and wear appropriate company provided personal protective equipment as needed/required
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must have a strong work ethic, demonstrating both initiative & professional attitude.
• Must be able to perform the essential elements of the positions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Additional Qualifications:

• WorkKeys assessment preferred at time of hire.
  • Must achieve Eastman’s required score levels on the WorkKeys assessments to be considered for the OAP (Operator Apprentice Program) or the MAP (Maintenance Apprentice Program).
    • WorkKeys required score levels:
      • Reading for Information / Workplace Documents - Level 6
      • Locating Information / Graphic Literacy - Level 5
      • Applied Mathematics - Level 6

Educational / Additional Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
