Responsibilities
The US Employee Benefits Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, management, and analysis of assigned employee benefits programs. This role focuses on health and welfare benefits and related employee coverage offerings in the US. The analyst will perform routine assignments involving benefits program evaluation, cost analysis, and external partner relationship management working under the direct supervision of the Health and Welfare Plans Manager. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and professional with a demonstrated ability to work in a high-energy, team-oriented environment to achieve results. Maintaining professionalism and exercising integrity in handling confidential information is a must.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in design and support administration of US employee benefits programs for active employees and alumni.
• Collaborate with external partners, consultants, and brokers to manage benefits offerings and resolve questions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure day-to-day needs are effectively managed.
• Conduct evaluation, benchmarking, and cost analysis to support program optimization and attractiveness.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure our benefits programs remain competitive and effective.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new benefits programs and initiatives as assigned.
• Communicate and implement plan design changes for assigned benefit plans.
• Interpret and apply laws and regulations through partnership with legal counsel.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent HR experience with a multinational, Fortune 500 company.
• Exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts related to employee benefits programs.
• Strong understanding of US benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with employees, leadership, and external partners.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct analyses of cost and utilization of plans.
• Experience managing internal and external relationships to drive successful partnerships.
• Desire to be part of a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with HR information systems and other relevant software tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain data privacy.
Work Environment and Impact:
This role is based on-site at Eastman’s global corporate headquarters in Kingsport, TN. It reports to the Health and Welfare Plans Manager and rolls up through Global Employee Benefits to the leader of Corporate HR Services.
