Eastman Chemical Company is seeking a Divisional Finance Director for Plastics to join our team of problem solvers and change makers. As the Divisional Finance Director for Plastics, you will have the opportunity to lead and impact the financial success of Eastman's Plastics division while working with business leadership teams and developing high performing teams. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, drive financial results and business performance, and build trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 

How you'll help us innovate to build a better world

 

•    Provide strategic financial leadership and drive financial results and business performance for the Plastics division.
•    Develop and execute financial strategies and plans that support the division's growth and sustainability objectives.
•    Identify and quantify key strategy drivers for the business, and support major business decisions via analysis and structured problem-solving
•    Understanding of how business fits into the broader marketplace, including monitoring market trends and investor perspectives to develop a value creation plan
•    Ability to proactively coordinate input from Finance subject matter experts to enable business outcomes
•    Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities for the division.
•    Ability to recognize and respond to needs of all clients across organization, both internal and external (funding organizations, the Board of Directors, business unit stakeholders, etc)
•    Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, external partners, and customers.
•    Provide decision support through financial modeling, scenario analysis, alternatives, capital investments, and cost savings.
•    Ensure that all financial records and reports comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
•    Lead and develop high-performing finance teams to support the division's growth and success.
•    Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and tools.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement revenue growth and cost optimization opportunities.
•    Manage financial risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
•    Ensure that the division's financial performance is accurately reported and communicated to senior leadership and stakeholders.
 

 

We would love to hear from people with

 

•    Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA preferred.
•    12+ years of financial analysis and managerial experience, including experience in the chemical industry.
•    Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
•    Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial leadership and drive business performance.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
•    Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
•    Experience with financial modeling, scenario analysis, and capital investments.
•    Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.
•    Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.
•    Experience with SAP or other financial systems and tools.
