Division HSE Representative

The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Divisional Representative will serve as a lead in development and implementation of safety initiatives on a divisional level for the Analytical Services Division.  The position will require coordination with R&D and quality-assurance laboratories that perform a variety of analytical testing to identify and address safety concerns.  In addition, the position will require involvement with inter-divisional safety coordinators/representatives to achieve a Zero Incident Culture across Corporate Technology. The position requires work within laboratories and limited time outdoors as needed.  The HSE Divisional Representative will report directly to the Global Technology HSE Manager.
Major Job Responsibilities:
1.         Implement safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with company, local, state, federal, and OSHA rules and regulations
2.         Identify important safety opportunities and develop plans to close gaps with means to track improvement initiatives to closure
3.         Frequently work under pressure while staying organized and continuously meet deadlines
4.         Demonstrate leadership towards real-life challenges of managing complex safety programs
5.         Perform hazard and risk identification, assessment, and controlled communication to ensure reduction of risk
6.         Provide leadership during times of strategic growth that may result in changing circumstances necessitating effective work prioritization
7.         Lead accident and near-miss investigations and make recommendations for improvement to management
8.         Collaborate with laboratory leadership to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
9.         Prepare monthly safety meetings and conduct safety training sessions for division employees and new hires
10.       Review documentation for safety issues across the division
11.       Represent division on larger corporate safety teams and programs


•    Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, or Industrial Hygiene
•    Three years of safety experience, preferred
•    Professional safety certifications, preferred (CSP, CIH, CHMM)
•    Must possess basic computer skills (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Internet)
•    Strong verbal, written, and relationship-building skills are essential
