Role Description:


An analytics translator (AT) uncovers and translates business needs to analytics problems, drives adoption of analytics solutions, and cultivates the analytics mindset across teams. The analytics translator empowers the enterprise to overcome important barriers to successful data and analytics initiatives. An analytics translator understands the opportunities and value that modern AI and Machine Learning brings to enhance decision making and manage complexity.

The analytics translator will leverage cross-functional relationships and domain expertise to foster ideas, generate insights, and drive implementation for continuous improvement. Analytics translators bridge the gap between the data and analytics teams (e.g., Chief Data Officer, Chief Analytics Officer, data architects, data engineers, data scientists, application architects, business analysts) and the business functions (e.g., Business and functional leaders, managers, business professionals, sales teams, researchers, policy makers, and consultants) to ensure successful implementation of data and analytics initiatives in support of the digital strategy.

The analytics translator will work as a liaison with EIM (Enterprise Information Management) to ensure all the data needs for analytics initiatives are coordinated, well designed, and implemented to ensure success.


Role Responsibilities:


· Uncover and activate opportunities for math, machine learning, simulation, optimization, and statistics (predictive and prescriptive analytics) to be used in high-value decision making

· Build and foster internal client relationships

· Support data-driven value discovery and foster a data and analytics driven culture

· Drive adoption of analytics solutions to improve decision-making

· Cultivate an analytics mindset across teams and the organization

· Build trust in data and analytics solutions

· Act as a key point of contact for data science and our business teams by helping to manage roadblocks and analytics expectations

· Collaborate cross-functionally to ideate and develop new analytics tools, define key metrics, and measure business value and performance
