Role Profile

The Customer Rebates Analyst is responsible for validating customer requests for credit, issuance of credit and reconciliation of aged credits on customer accounts. Strong analytical skills are needed to make decisions quickly and accurately. This role requires strong written and oral communication skills during interaction with business partnership and leadership, and with functional partners such as Accounts Payable, and Credit. The primary tool utilized in this role is SAP.

 

This is a Part-Time position. 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, recommend, and draft rebate terms and conditions to meet business, legal, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of report back process and best practices; be a resource for company best practices and training for new hires.
  • Be a business partner: learn and understand business strategies, key initiatives, products, and hierarchies; learn, anticipate, and meet business needs through proper prioritization. 
  • Analyze customer pricing and historical sales to validate customer credit requests.
  • Efficient decision-making ability to approve or deny customer credit based on information at hand.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable and Credit to ensure customer account remains in good standing.
  • Proactively provide analytics, reports, and forecast of completion of credits to key stakeholders.
  • Identify and remedy problems with prices in SAP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Working knowledge of SAP a plus
  • Accounting background a plus

  • Basic business acumen (basic accounting and mathematics, data analysis)
  • Enthusiasm, adaptability, sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Strong collaboration skills (internal and external)
  • Ability to innovate creative solutions to problems
