Responsibilities

The Controllers Division Accountant can be assigned in multiple areas of Controllers Division, depending on current need and candidate experience, but the two most likely areas are Functional Accounting or Entity Accounting, so descriptions of these roles are provided below.
Functional Accountant
The Functional Accounting team provides cost accounting and analysis services to Eastman’s non-manufacturing functions, such as Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Procurement, etc. The team also has corporate oversight, analysis and forecasting responsibility for the SGA, R&D and Distribution areas of the P&L. Individual functional accounting roles include the following areas of responsibility:
The Entity Accounting team responsibilities include entity and accounting services for US legal entities, global intercompany process oversight, global treasury accounting, and corporate balance sheet analysis and forecasting. Individual general accounting roles include the following areas of responsibility: • Own monthly close activities for assigned legal entities, including journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, and financial statement review and analysis. |
