Description of Job Duties:

  • Learn Eastman’s current control system platforms and practices.
  • Support the hardware / software of various computer-based control systems for manufacturing facilities.


Work Schedule:

  • Approximately 20 hours per week expected.  Schedule is flexible but must be approved.  The intent is to allow students to continue their education while working. 
  • The duration of this position is for two (2) consecutive semesters (Spring & Summer or Summer & Fall) and is aligned with student’s academic calendar.



  • This is a paid internship.   The student will be paid bi-weekly on an hourly basis for time worked.
  • While there is no promise of full-time employment following the internship, it is a possibility if business conditions permit, performance is at or above expectations, and an Associates equivalent or higher degree is completed.



  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Computer & basic programming skills
  • Problem diagnosis & resolution ability
  • Team & interpersonal skills
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer and Information Sciences, Electrical Technology, or equivalent
  • Background in electronics / instrumentation / process controls (desirable).
  • Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States now and in the future. (Eastman does not provide sponsorship or support OPT for this position.)



  • Students must be in at least the 2nd semester of their major’s curriculum.
  • School verifies students’ qualifications.
  • Eastman interviews top candidates and makes the selections for this position.
