Role Description

The Market Research Analyst supports Market Research Project Team Leaders in providing market and competitive intelligence to internal clients.  Typical studies include determining size, segmentation and growth rate for target markets, customer & competitor profiles, and industry assessments as custom research project or as part of a Market Intelligence Dashboard. The ultimate goal is to inform both functional and businesses partners with actionable insight to make both tactical and strategic decisions.  This role utilizes a range of information tools and frameworks.


 
Responsibilities
 

  • Support the Market Research Team Leader/Market Research Managers/Senior Market Research Analyst by executing research projects through
  • Analyzing pre-existing studies from the relevant Fact Base
  • Evaluating potential research methodologies for gathering particular types of data
  • Cleaning and assembling the research data into established templates. Ability to create basic templates for populating research data.
  • Assist with the creation of compelling, insightful final reports that along with summarizing the key learnings, provide results of the initial analyses and extracts and communicates insights
  • Ensuring results are well documented and stored in the relevant fact base
  • Cultivate and maintain a network of secondary and industry resources to expedite knowledge base development 
  • Robust working knowledge of third-party market intelligence services subscribed to by Eastman
  • Develops broach knowledge of Eastman’s major markets
  • Assist and guide junior Analysts in completing their deliverables.

Required Education and/or Experience
 
Education:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical studies (engineering or related) or business studies preferred
  • Master’s degree in Market Research/Business Administration, or related field of highly desired 
  • Market research experience within a business-to-business or business-to-consumer environment is required (3+ years)

 
Experience/skills:
 

  • Proven hands on secondary research, analyses and reporting required
  • Proven ability to conduct detailed searches using a variety of public and private research tools required
  • Comfortable networking across large, matrixed organizations required
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high quality, accurate results
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills 
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects 
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Productivity Suite (including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint, and PowerBI)
  • Knowledge of third-party market intelligence service providers such as Euromonitor, Global data, IHSMarkit, Wood Mackenzie, etc. required
