Responsibilities

 

This position will require an experienced, results-oriented professional that is responsible for guiding and maintaining existing chemical manufacturing processes in TPA.  The role will provide technical support to operations staff, apply troubleshooting and process-improvement skills to resolve plant issues to ensure efficient production. 

 

 

This role will work approximately 8 hours per week.

 


Examples of core responsibilities include:

  • Lead, execute and support process improvement activities and projects to optimize production using engineering, statistical analysis and operating equipment knowledge to problem-solve issues in the manufacturing process
  • Study and investigate existing processes to identify and implement new opportunities for improving quality, throughput, and costs 
  • Evaluate daily production results with regard to targeted capacity, yield, quality, waste streams, and energy consumption and make necessary corrections.  
  • Understand all applicable process technology, equipment and control technology
  • Serve as subject matter expert and technical resource for internal customers
  • Participate in operating unit PHA validations and safety reviews for proposed changes

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required
  • 6+ years of experience in process development/improvement and/or manufacturing support in TPA area required
  • Must be a self-starter with a focus on results. Ability to lead and drive challenging projects forward despite uncertainties.
  • Must have good troubleshooting skills to analyze process data, understand equipment operations and determine root causes of failures
  • Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills
  •

The base salary range for this position is $22,400  to $30,800. ​
