Responsibilities

 

The primary role of an Auditor is to support audit engagements under the direction of senior audit staff, with the expectation of progressively transitioning into a lead role on less complex audit engagements. The Auditor assists with testing, documentation, and issue identification as part of a structured audit team. This role provides an opportunity to build foundational knowledge of internal audit standards and Eastman business processes.
 
•    Assist in executing audit procedures per departmental guidelines (IIA standards)
•    Support planning and scoping under the direction of a lead auditor, with expectation of gradually assuming a lead role on less complex audit engagements
•    Perform assigned audit testing accurately and within established timelines
•    Document audit work clearly per departmental standards
•    Identify and escalate potential audit issues or control gaps to the lead auditor
•    Participate in meetings with process owners and audit clients as a supporting team member transitioning to leading these meetings
•    Perform and assist with issue remediation follow-up and testing as directed
•    Build foundational knowledge of Eastman business processes and audit frameworks
•    Contribute to departmental projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

 

•    Bachelor’s Degree Required
•    0-2 Years Experience in a Corporate Environment
•    Attention to detail and deadline driven
•    Ability to work well in a team environment
•    Eagerness to learn business processes and internal controls concepts
•    Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Teams
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

Preferred Additional Qualifications: 


•    Internship or entry-level experience in audit, accounting, finance, or related field
•    Familiarity with audit concepts or frameworks (COSO, IIA Standards)
•    SAP or ERP system exposure
•    Advanced Degree - MBA or MAcc
•    Advanced Certifications in progress: CPA, CIA, CFE, or CISA
•    Optro (formerly AuditBoard) software exposure
