Responsibilities

 

This is a part-time role up to 25 hours per week.  As the Asset Performance System Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-user support, role management & security access, training & documentation, and maintenance of our asset management software. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the solutions meet the needs of our organization, coordinate product improvements and support our Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability objectives. The primary solutions will include, but not be limited to, GE APM, PLA, and PowerBI.


Primary Responsibilities:


1.    User Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users, addressing software-related issues & inquiries. Conduct ticket screening based on process standards.
2.    Role Management & Security Access: Assign system roles to new users and provide accurate security access based on user needs.
3.    Collaboration: Support the Reliability Capability Center, IT, Site PLA Teams, PLA Managers and Reliability stewards with key initiatives. Additionally, be the primary point of communication for site leads and PLA Managers using corporate standard software.
4.    System Upgrades and Enhancements: Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to plan and implement software upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
5.    Training and Documentation: Co-develop training materials and conduct training sessions to educate users on the software’s functionalities and best practices.


Shared Responsibilities:


6.    System Administration: Collaborate on the install, configuration & management of all production loss accounting software, ensuring its availability, performance, & security.
7.    Software Configuration: Assist with developing process requirements for customization or configuration of software to align with our asset management processes and standards.
8.    Data Management: Oversee data integrity, accuracy, and consistency within the software, ensuring proper data governance practices are followed.
9.    Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization within the asset management software ecosystem.

Qualifications

 

1.    GE APM and Production Loss Accounting experience are must-haves for this role.
2.    Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word & Outlook)
3.    Strong technical proficiency in system administration, database management, and software utilization.
4.    Familiarity with operations, maintenance, reliability and production loss accounting principles, practices, and industry standards.
5.    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
6.    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
7.    Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
8.    Knowledge of IT security best practices and data privacy regulations.
9.    Experience with PowerBI
10.  4-year technical degree required

 

Preferred additional qualifications:
 
•    Experience training, presenting, or speaking to small groups (i.e. crew safety rep, other assignments involving oral presentations) 
•    Completion of internal or external courses in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and/or PowerBI
