Responsibilities

 

Asset Integrity Lead is responsible for leading a team that is implementing the mechanical integrity piping program for in-service piping and executing quality assurance and quality control to ensure piping is installed, maintained, and operated in a safe and reliable manner. This role is responsible for ensuring execution of planning, coordination, and inspection activities to meet applicable code, jurisdictional, and company requirements. 


•    Provide leadership for team to achieve piping inspections results/expectations safely for Tennessee Operations (TNO) Site 
•    Assist in stewardship of piping quality standards, manuals, and policies 
•    Responsible for team’s execution of piping inspections, test plans, and implementing management systems to ensure compliance with applicable requirements
•    Coordinate with team members to ensure quality and consistency of inspections 
•    Provide ongoing coaching and responsible for training and development of piping inspectors and shop/field weld inspectors 
•    Understand, develop, and leverage group member’s strengths while managing workload and staffing levels 
•    Develop strategic vision and provide leadership for key department and division initiatives
•    Participate in asset integrity and piping inspection related audits and addressing findings
•    Interface with other engineering functions and contractor organizations 
•    Manage group controllable expenditures and communicate relevant information to team members 

Qualifications

 

•    Associate degree, technical diploma or equivalent with 5 years of industry experience.  Or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with 2 years of industry experience
•    Effective communication skills 
•    2+ years of experience in piping, inspection, mechanical integrity, or engineering in a chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing environment
•    Familiarity with mechanical integrity inspections, QA/QC, and non-destructive examination (NDE) techniques 
•    Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to engineering/inspection in the chemical industry

 

A plus, if candidate has


•    Prior experience leading a team 
•    Piping/welding inspection experiences 
•    API 570 certification 
•    CWI certification
