Project Engineer, Global Engineering Service Center

 

  • Provide oversight for small construction project engineering.
  • Provide technical support for Eastman Manufacturing Units globally.  Individuals in this role utilize a broad range of engineering skills on projects that range from small, fast-paced technical support needs to larger, long-ranged study jobs, development projects, and capital projects. This can involve visiting sites and/or remote support.
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Technology, and Manufacturing personnel to assist the manufacturing unit in achieving their safety, production, reliability, and maintenance objectives.
  • Work in a team environment with operators, technicians, technologists, and engineers.
  • Provide project management and engineering support for projects.
  • Generate improvement ideas.

 

Minimum Education and Exerience Required:

  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from accredited college or university.
  • 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, may include co-op / intern experience.

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain close working relationship with internal customers, key contacts, and vendors / suppliers.
  • Attention to safety in both work practices and designs.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to identify cost savings and improvement opportunities.
  • CAD Software proficiency (No platform preference).
  • PE Licensure preferred.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a group or team environment.
  • Ability to follow corporate and site standards in the design and execution of all project work.
