The Additives and Functional Products Division is searching for a PhD Research Chemist.

RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:

• Working in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment to develop new technologies that provide solutions to customers' needs

• Executing technical projects, including conducting laboratory experiments at the bench and directing the work of technicians

• Collaborating with marketing and business partners to understand customer needs and provide technical solutions that are economically viable

• Engaging in technical support activities to enhance manufacturing operational excellence

• Documenting and communicating results and conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Identifying inventive aspects of new technology and working legal to capture and protect such intellectual property

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry from an accredited college or university.

 EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 * Practical knowledge of synthetic methods and laboratory experimentation techniques

 * Demonstrate creativity and a desire to solve challenging and complex problems

 * First principles approach and a passion for understanding the fundamentals aspects of complex chemistries and processes

 * Strong project management and team leadership skills

 * Excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment
