The LSE (Temporary) Product Support Representative (PSR) is responsible for coordination of all internal and external aspects of product support including but not limited to specifications; customer inquiries; quality compliance certifications; and customer complaints.  The position requires strong influence and communication skills, chemical product knowledge and commercial insight in support of the business units, customer service, manufacturing and technology.  As the position is quite broad, it supports further development towards commercial, supply chain planning, regulatory or product management positions.  The PSR reports to the North America Animal Nutrition, Customer Care & Crop Protection Supply Chain Manager.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead response/resolution to internal and external product inquiries.
  • Manage communication and approvals to support business initiatives (specification changes, product discontinuations, manufacturing changes, shipments into approved countries, etc.).
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of product master data.
  • Monitor and manage supply availability and status at assigned warehouse locations.
  • Routinely use demand forecasting and sales and operations planning tools to provide insight into expected tight supply situations and recommend actions.
  • Develop/maintain/monitor performance indices to ensure optimal operation of processes and suggest improvements to inventory, costs and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage product allocation and sales monitoring plans.
  • Conduct month-end inventory reconciliation to ensure accuracy of inventory at assigned warehouse locations, including required management approvals.
  • Proactively communicates issues and recommends solutions to key stakeholders.
  • Adhere to warehouse inventory planning processes to support GSC Quality Management systems.
  • Serve as Supply Chain Steward for customer complaint management process.
  • Manage customer returns, claims and credits.
  • Manage training and resources for back-up.
  • Leads/supports process improvement for the PSR function.

 

 Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes, preferably with 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, planning, scheduling and inventory management.
  • 3+ years relevant experience (chemical or related industry) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Good knowledge of SAP and SharePoint preferred.
  • Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and organizational dynamics.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to work at operational/ tactical level as well as contribute at strategic level/ develop strategic vision.
  • Project management experience a plus, Greenbelt preferred.
  • Must possess strong customer service mindset, be a self-starter and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Some travel may be required +/- 5%.
