Position Purpose


As application development and technical service manager, you will be responsible for the support of the poultry and swine segments within US. Together with colleagues in sales, marketing, regulatory and R&D, you shall work on strengthening Eastman’s image and presence as a leading supplier of organic acids in gut health and preservation & hygiene applications.




Job Responsibilities


Application development and technical support


  • Visit and engage potential and existing customers together with the regional sales and marketing team to support current products and launch new products into the market
  • Excellent service to customers through product training and technical support
  • Rapid response to technical customer inquiries involving nutrition, management, formulation, feed quality control, especially as related to organic acid use
  • Training sales colleagues in the region on the technical and economic benefits of Eastman’s product portfolio
  • Liaise with Eastman’s internal R&D group for technical support and product development
  • Lead EBME projects around new feed additives
  • Creation of technical material like presentations, leaflets, brochures and trade-press articles to support sales
  • Coordination of research and customer field trials with existing and new products
  • Participation in exhibitions shows and other sector related events
  • Look for cooperation with third parties/universities and for possible acquisition targets


Market intelligence


  • In-depth understanding of the customer’s demands and challenges
  • Detection and road mapping of relevant business and/or technology trends
  • Develop in-depth knowledge base of animal feed applications





Education and Knowledge Background


  • Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Production, Animal Health, Veterinary Science or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in animal feed/ feed additives in a customer-facing technical role in the region
  • Demonstrable technical knowledge of animal health/animal nutrition/chemistry, knowledge of organic acids is an asset
  • Excellent training skills and ability to create compelling presentations and write technical reports
  • Able to design animal research and customer field trials and interpret trial results
