 Job Description


Administer and execute assigned configuration management and IT asset management related processes, which results in reliable IT foundational data.



  • Taking direction from and supporting the Global SACM manager
  • Maintaining data continuity within the IT Asset Repository, including Asset Models (Software and Hardware)
  • Maintaining data continuity within the configuration management system, including the CI data model and relationships.
  • Gathering and reporting on process metrics
  • Following up on exceptions to ensure data quality
  • Escalating any issues with the global shared process to the Global SACM Manager
    Managing Discovery Schedules
  • May be responsible for the day-to-day activities of one (1) or more of the “Regions” within the global organization (Ex. Responsible for EMEA or NA or etc.)



  • Good communication skills; the ability to convey ideas in written form and the capability to share those ideas verbally in a clear, concise manner
  • Good collaboration and relational skills; comfortable working with other skilled professionals on project teams toward common goals 
  • Self-directed, organized
  • Fundamental understanding of the ITIL framework
  • Proficient with the ServiceNow ITSM application, including Asset Management, CMDB and Discovery.
  • Prior experience on a SACM Team preferred, but not required


Under direct supervision, assists in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary under direction of experienced Business System Analysts. Competent to consider most business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. Typically is the entry position for incumbents with necessary education and/or experience.


Entry. Performs routine assignments in the discipline or function. Typically requires a college or university degree or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts. Develops competence by performing structured work assignments. Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems. Works with direct supervision. Impact of work is primarily within own organization.
