Responsibilities
| Plans, designs, and directs civil engineering projects such as roads, airports, railroads, bridges, pipelines, tunnels, and water and sewage systems. Provides resources and schedules in response to specified completion dates and technical applications. Prepares proposals and cost estimates and evaluates all project progress and recommends changes, if needed, in final procedures. Typically is the entry position for incumbents with necessary education and/or experience. |
Qualifications
| Entry. Performs routine assignments in the discipline or function. Typically requires a college or university degree or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts. Develops competence by performing structured work assignments. Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems. Works with direct supervision. Impact of work is primarily within own organization. |
