Role Description
This position will require an experienced, results-oriented professional to be responsible for 2D-structural design in Civil, Steel and Architectural front. The candidate may also be required to work in a multi-discipline team executing a variety of chemical manufacturing support projects and tasks to support our manufacturing sites. Projects will vary in scope from drafting support, redlines incorporation and detailed design.
Key Responsibilities:
•Work with global counterparts to develop deliverables required for civil and structural elements and hence excellent communication skills a pre-requisite.
•Take instructions from Structural Engineer and develop 2D drawings of steel / concrete structures in Bentley Micro Station / AutoCAD.
•Shall possess expertise in E3D and Laser Scan environments.
•Should be able to understand redlines or markups made (on a drawing) by client and incorporate them.
•Should be conversant with both steel and concrete design practices.
•Should possess knowledge in all types of steel connections viz, bolted and welded.
•Should have had good exposure in American steel structural profiles.
•Should possess good visualization skills and shall be pro-active exhibiting personal ownership in the tasks undertaken.
•Shall need to work in close coordination with counterparts in other disciplines like Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation etc.
Basic Qualifications
•Diploma / Degree – in Civil Engineering
•Minimum 4-7 years of experience in an Engineering and/or EPC company.
•Computer Environment: Microsoft: Word, Excel
•Drafting tools: AutoCAD & MicroStation
•Experience with American codes - mainly ACI & AISC.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Exposure to other 3D Modelling softwares like PDS, PDMS or SP3D.
