Job Details:
The Manager of HOC Global Supply Chain is a cross-functional leader of people at the Eastman Hyderabad Operating Center (HOC). This position optimizes the performance, competency, and motivation of the team. This role contributes to tactical management decisions, resolves barriers faced by the team, and develops human resource strategies in partnership with HR teams. This role will optimize team performance, drive continuous improvement, and act as a key link between company, functional, and regional leadership. This role is an enablement catalyst for Company and functional key initiatives and sits on the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team.
This position is a full-time position with a reporting line to the India Center head and also aligned to the global supply chain team.
Specific Responsibilities:
Implement a Continuous Improvement Culture:
- Hold a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification with demonstrated application in process improvement projects.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma concepts to drive continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.
- Actively challenge teams towards driving improvements and advocate for work to be pulled into the HOC.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and motivate the team, providing guidance, knowledge, and support in implementing improvement projects.
- Lead by example and foster a culture of collaboration and empowerment.
- Lead cross-functional teams, even without direct reporting lines.
- Appreciate diversity and encourage diverse perspectives in decision-making processes.
Networking and Relationship Building:
- Build a strong network within the company, proactively engaging with stakeholders from different departments and regions.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with Finance, Information Technology, and Compliance teams at HOC.
- Challenging the Status Quo and Problem-Solving:
- Challenge the status quo and identify root causes of problems and issues.
- Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and capabilities.
- Advocate for system improvements and pursue automation opportunities.
- Develop metrics for throughput, accuracy, and speed, and monitor team performance.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of overall experience including Supply Chain area.
- 3+ years' experience leading teams in Supply Chain or Shared Services related areas.
- Proven experience in setting up supply chain shared services teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals across all organizational levels.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with SAP OTC (Order to Cash) system.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive change and improvement.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification with demonstrated project experience.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, bias for action, and ability to challenge the status quo
