The position of Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs Representative will be based out of our Hyderabad, India office.

 

Scope:

The key role of Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) Representative is to support regional PSRA with regulatory and quasi-regulatory reports within the scope of International Chemical Control Law (ICCL) and Eastman’s Corporate Chemicals Management Program.  He/she will work closely with Product Stewards to understand the requisite details for the report and gather and collate data from SAP.  Reports will be submitted to the respective government authority in the case of regulatory reports or to impacted business managers in the case of quasi-regulatory reports.  The PSRA Representative will also have the responsibility for assessing information pertaining to existing chemical clearances of Eastman products, monitoring for changes in clearance status in light of new/emerging regulations or restricted chemicals lists, and for advising Product Stewards of the business impact.  Ensuring compliance and maintaining market access for existing products is critical to the continued success of Eastman.  PSRA Representative enables this success.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports to global regulatory agencies in accordance with the regulatory agencies’ guidelines
  • Maintain regulatory records, including archiving of reports submitted and received by government authorities
  • Prepare and submit quasi-regulatory reports including reports of impact to business with respect to certain lists of chemicals of concern in accordance with Eastman’s Corporate Chemicals Management Program
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of Eastman’s current and developing portfolio of products used in the regulated markets mentioned above in order to answer compliance related questions from internal partners, external parties, and add value to existing and new customer engagement discussions
  • Maintain awareness of global regulatory legislation and its impact on Eastman products and business
  • Assist with special projects related to Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs, as needed
  • Assist with regulatory intelligence, as needed
     
     
      

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (or higher) required
  • 2 – 5+ years of experience in a regulatory affairs role
