The Role

The Distribution Resource Planner is the key person between Sales, Customer Service, Warehouses and Global planning. Main target for the Distribution Resource Planner is to guarantee an uninterrupted supply process by balancing supply, inventory, and demand. Furthermore, you are an active partner on all supply related questions from business partners (BO Management, Demand Manager, Product Quality, Sales, Logistics, Customers Services, Manufacturing and Supply Planner). The Distribution Resource Planner works closely with Global planning and reports to the Team Lead - DRP
 

Responsibilities

Inventory

  • Responsible for warehouse inventory planning of the external warehouses. Manage inventory levels and replenishment orders in line with agreed inventory targets
  • Responsible for managing aged & blocked inventories and working with manufacturing and product management to minimize impact to the business. 
  • Responsible for monthly reconciliations of inventory levels stored at 3rd party warehouses and consignment stocks. 
  • Initiate and lead assigned annual physical stock counts

 

Projects & Coordination

  • Support, handle, coordinate and/or facilitate problem solving around customer inquiries and business processes, such as: product management, complaint handling and returned material. 
  • Understand business and product strategies for the product range covered.
  • Timely review and approval of complaint resolutions. Responsible for effective and timely Complaint Management, Analysis and Reporting 
  • Initiate improvement opportunities (processes, tools, and knowledge) and support implementation of these pro-actively, including optimization of shipment modes, loads and packaging based on costs and inventory.
  • Lead S&OE meetings and communicate summary to stakeholders
  • Responsible for maintaining Master Data of the Advanced Planning Tool 


Reporting

  • Responsible for effective and timely Analysis and Reporting 
  • Analyze demand data and measure forecast accuracy
  • Evaluate and maintain Safety Stock and Target Inventory numbers for the region 
  • Ensures full compliance with Corporate Standard Operating Procedures and all Sarbanes Oxley required processes
     

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree, preferable in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering. 
  • APICS CPIM or comparable certification is a desired 
  • Work experience in the field of Planning & Inventory management, preferably the process industry
  • Excellent analytical skills in combination with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language
  • Good command of SAP and advanced planning software, preferably OMP 
  • Strong in organizing and has a structured way of working. High level of customer focus and works accurately, also under pressure.
  • Self-starter and independent thinker who has the ability to think outside the box, work in a team environment and is flexible in a changing environment
