Eastman Chemical is currently looking for an IT Regional Manager to join our team in Hyderabad, India.  The IT Regional Manager is the primary liaison between the Regional Business Leaders in EME and Asia as well as the IT corporate functions.   The first objective of this role is to drive the digital agenda (mostly business applications matters) and empower the Infrastructure team in region and its matrix links in Kingsport. 

 

What will be expected from you?

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for EMEA & APR regional leaders on the digital alignment for key business initiatives
  • Will report to and directly support the Country Head of an established, experienced Business Center in Hyderabad, India
  • Ensures IT capabilities are delivered reliably, sustainably, cost effectively and securely.
  • Develop Key Performance metrics for availability, capacity, response, and costs.
  • Directs the design and implementation of the IT service delivery (region) operating model, organizational structure, and governance process
  • Provides leadership, coaching and direction to the IT team and staff
  • Drive and influence operational consistency within the IT landscape.
  • Develop a multi-year “IT Roadmap” to guide IT policies and systems in support of Eastman’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure data management protocols and practices meet all regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.
  • Respond to mission critical outages/incidents and equipment failure.
  • Contributes to the development of our IT service delivery strategic plans and roadmaps for each region
  • Partners with People & Culture to continually look for leading-edge and innovative solutions to the recruitment, development and retention of the IT workforce
  • Develops and maintains an IT workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills and competencies.

 

 

Your key working relationships:

As the IT Regional Manager- you need to develop strong relationships with the following internal parties:

  • Head of Global Service Delivery
  • Reginal Leadership Teams
  • Corporate Functional Leaders and Teams
  • Chief Information Security Officer

 

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in a technology leadership role, with at least 6 of those years in an operational leadership capacity.
  • Results oriented leader who takes the initiative and effectively distills strategy, analytics, and varied sets of input to drive decisions and follow through to execution.
  • Strong business influencing skills, negotiating skills and ability to shape, define and present a complete and thorough picture of Eastman’s Operational IT capabilities, including clear and recurring communication to leadership team.
  • Experience managing staff and vendors in multiple locations.
  • Experience in successfully leading change through complex environments and organizational structures.
  • Results oriented, outcomes focused with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Leverage strategic and analytical capabilities to make sound, timely decisions based on client and field input supporting and maintaining a strong production environment including evaluating risk versus expense versus the client experience.
  • Able to act decisively in making solid, informed judgment calls.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Strong emotional intelligence/maturity.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and overseeing distinct teams with varied strengths.
  • Thrives on initiating, building and cultivating strong authentic relationships inside and outside the group; highly collaborative; navigates and creates alignment across organizational boundaries.
  • An undergraduate degree (B.S.) is required; Advanced technology or business degree is preferred.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc. (Cisco Switches, Dell & HP servers, UC telephony).
  • Experienced in deploying large scale enterprise platforms including: SAP,
  • Experience in chemical industry is a plus.
  • Experience within a diverse working environment (e.g. geographical, cultural and process diversity.
