We are looking for an experienced and motivated email system administrator to join our IT team. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our email servers, both on-premises and in the cloud, ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of our email systems. You will also troubleshoot and resolve any email-related issues, as well as provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.

 

 

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a site-based position in one of our vibrant office locations: Hyderabad, India, or Mexico City, Mexico.
 

 

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • PowerShell scripting skills to automate tasks and perform complex operations on email servers and M365.
  • Windows Server OS knowledge and experience, including server installation, configuration, administration, and security.
  • Exchange 2019 Server experience, transport rules, and connectors.
  • Exchange Online experience, including hybrid deployment, transport rules, connectors, compliance and security, and monitoring and reporting.
  • SMTP relay knowledge and experience, including configuring and troubleshooting SMTP connectors, routing, and delivery.
  • DNS knowledge and experience with mail related DNS records.
  • Security focused mindset, including keeping up with security best practices and server patching, implementing encryption, authentication, and authorization, and preventing and mitigating email threats such as spam, phishing, and malware.
  • Communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, and with external vendors and partners.
  • Teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate and coordinate with other IT team members, departments and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex email system problems, identify and implement improvements and best practices.
  • Preferred
  • Splunk experience, including using Splunk to monitor and analyze email system logs, events, and alerts.
  • Service Now experience, including creating and updating tickets, following workflows, creating change requests and documenting solutions.
  • SendGrid experience, including using SendGrid to send and receive emails, manage email campaigns, and track email deliverability and engagement.
  • Microsoft certifications: MS-102: Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an email system administrator or a similar role.
  • Certification in Exchange Server, Exchange Online, or SendGrid is a plus.
