An Information Technology & Business Shared Services presence is being established in Hyderabad, India with the objective of providing information technology application development and support services. This office is located at Skyview SEZ Park, Biodiversity, Hyderabad.

 

Job Description (Experience :1 to 4 years)

This position will require an experienced, results-oriented Chemical Engineering professional to be responsible for executing a variety of technical projects and tasks as part of the Hyderabad Engineering Services Team  

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagram and equipment layouts.
  • Preparation of relief valves sizing calculations.
  • Preparation & Reviewing of Process Flow Diagram & Piping & Instrumentation Diagram.
  • To review conceptual equipment layouts, process layout, utility layout and other block layouts
  • Preparation & Reviewing of Plant process design with equipment sizing & utility load.
  • Material & Energy Balance Calculation as per the process requirement.
  • Performing relief valve adequacy check using the software and with the help of in-house tool.
  • Documentation of the relief Scenarios and the path followed in preparing the relief sizing calculations.
  • Preparation & Reviewing of Plant process design with equipment sizing & utility load design calculation.
  • Work as a team along with other fellow Chemical Engineers and to involve in discussion with them to understand and size relief device.
  • Actively participate as a member of multifunctional project teams executing capital and technical projects from concept to implementation
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of process changes
  • Provide and communicate clear, concise, and timely reporting of project progress and accomplishments verbally and in writing
  • Computer Environment: Microsoft: Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments of varying complexity
  • Good written, listening and verbal communication skills
  • Be a team player in a team environment
  • Be a self-starter and a self-motivator
     

Education Required:

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university is required for this role

Responsibilities

Designs chemical plant equipment and devises processes for manufacturing chemicals and products, such as gasoline, plastics, detergents, cement, paper, and pulp. Conducts research to develop new and improved chemical manufacturing processes. Designs and plans layouts and oversees personnel engaged in constructing, controlling and improving equipment for carrying out chemical processes on a commercial scale. Determines most effective arrangement of operations such as condensers, absorption and evaporation towers, columns and stills. Typically is the entry position for incumbents with necessary education and/or experience.

Qualifications

Entry. Performs routine assignments in the discipline or function. Typically requires a college or university degree or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts. Develops competence by performing structured work assignments. Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems. Works with direct supervision. Impact of work is primarily within own organization.
