Role Description

The AEM Architect is responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise-scale marketing websites and digital experiences using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This role provides technical leadership, ensures adherence to best practices, and partners closely with business, creative, and engineering teams to translate requirements into high-quality digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and oversee the development of AEM-based marketing websites and digital platforms, defining and maintaining architecture, design patterns, and best practices
  • Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications, providing technical guidance on AEM components, templates, workflows, OSGi services, and integrations
  • Review and improve existing platforms for performance, scalability, maintainability, and user experience, ensuring high-quality code through code reviews, testing standards, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, UX, and creative teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, and guide teams on content authoring, DAM usage, and personalization capabilities
  • Manage multiple priorities and oversee delivery across concurrent initiatives, proactively identifying technical risks and independently seeking solutions to complex design and integration challenges
  • Mentor developers and contribute to architectural governance and technical decision-making

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 7–12 years of overall web development experience, with at least 4–6 years of hands-on AEM experience in an architect or senior technical role
  • Strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including AEM Sites, Templates, Components, Sling Models, OSGi, workflows, permissions, dispatcher, and deployment best practices
  • Proficiency in Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of frontend frameworks such as React (preferred)
  • Hands-on experience or strong knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and Adobe Digital Asset Management (AEM Assets)
  • Deep understanding of responsive web design and accessibility standards
  • Migration experience from AEM to AEMAACS (AEM cloud service)
  • Experience in setting-up Fastly (CDN)  in AEMAACS
  • Experience integrating AEM with third-party systems, APIs, and enterprise platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, define problems clearly, and deliver solutions that maximize business value

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint and .NET; basic understanding of Drupal and PHP
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with security, performance tuning, and scalability patterns
  • Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong competencies in influence, change management, and technical leadership, with a demonstrated ownership, accountability, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Willingness and ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly
