Role Description
Eastman is working to catalyze the transformation from a linear to a circular economy. With the launch of two commercial
Competitive Intelligence Manager is responsible for maintaining the knowledge base regarding existing and emerging competitive materials to Eastman’s Specialty Plastics offering. This knowledge should encompass the material’s performance, the competitor’s strategy, cost position, and environmental position. This Product Manager will lead projects and create insights that will shape business decisions and strategic choices for Eastman’s growth and its transition to a more circular feedstock.
Responsibilities
Competitive intelligence monitoring of similarcompetitive products.- Design research that informs market analyses across a broad range of
competitive products; these analyses could include broad market analyses like cost curves, supply/demand modeling, sustainability trends, price modeling, etc. - Structure research results to generate insights and to effectively communicate the data and the insights back to the organization.
- Work with external vendors to provide market research and other analyses that will be presented back to the business to shape and guide strategy development.
- The
Competitive Intelligence Manager will collaborate closely with product teams and market segment teams to understand theircompetitive intelligence needs and develop plans to gather information and insights to inform development of a winning strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical or marketing discipline required
- Minimum of 8 years prior experience in sales, technology, marketing, product management, or supply chain
- Experience in strategy development or sustainability in the polymer industry is attractive
